Dear College Football Coaches,
I have a strong desire to compete in college, and I am now in the process of contacting coaches of football teams and universities that are strong academic, athletic, and personal matches. I believe that I have the potential to play college football at any level; however, I understand the advantages of attending a smaller university and would consider a variety of colleges. I am looking for a university that would give me the opportunity to thrive, contribute, and grow in all facets of collegiate life: Personally, athletically, and academically. I currently attend Crean Lutheran High School and will graduate in the spring of 2017. I transferred from Brethren Christian (for academic reasons), and my coaches from Brethren and Crean are both available as references. In 2013 and 2014 at Brethren Christian, you will see me wearing jersey number 3, where I made 112 varsity tackles and 13 varsity sacks in my freshman and sophomore years (started 6 games in 2013 and 12 in 2014). I was varsity starter at Tight End, Linebacker and Defensive Lineman. I earned all-league honors as an Outside Linebacker in 2014. In 2015 at Crean Lutheran, I wore jersey number 3 when playing Tight End, Outside Linebacker and Defensive End. When one my teammates suffered a serious injury, I was asked to move from Tight End to Right Offensive Tackle where I wore jersey number 50. I was named first team all-league as a Defensive End. In 2015 we beat the defending CIF champions in a league game! We earned a league championship and advanced to the CIF Semi-Finals, which was a huge milestone for Crean Lutheran Football. This is the winning mentality I promise to bring to the college football program I join in 2017. I know I must continue to improve in size, strength, speed, and skill, and I am confident that I can arrive in college at 220-230 pounds (an extra 10-20 pounds of muscle), and at the same time, continue to get faster and quicker. I also expect to become a three-time all-league award winner in football and volleyball. In addition, my plan is to be running in the 4.75 range and have my vertical jump in the 36 inch range by the time I arrive in college training camp. Football is in my blood! My father was a scholarship D1 linebacker in college and two of my uncles also played college football, one of whom received a number of NFL tryouts. Additionally, my mother played college softball in the Pac-10 (USC). I would love to play college football in 2017. Mostly, you should know I work hard, am a team player, love to compete and love the game of football! |
