Hi my name is Genevieve Brittingham, and I currently play third base as well as shortstop for the Firecrackers based out of Huntington Beach, California. Ever since I was a little kid, softball has always been one of the most important things in my life, and it still remains today. I am a right handed contact hitter, and my team can always rely on me to put the ball in play and advance runners. I play for the Firecrackers coached by Brian Singer, and he has been one of the driving forces in my game, always pushing me to play my best, as well as to continue to strive for excellency in the classroom.
I live in Aliso Viejo, California, with my parents and my four siblings. I attend Aliso Niguel High School, where I play starting third base for the varsity program there. Right now I am enrolled in three Advanced Placement courses, and I hope to take four or five my senior year. I have a 4.1 GPA, and I received a 33 on my ACT, and am planning on taking the SAT this upcoming year. I am ranked in the top 10 percent out of a junior class containing 763 students. I have both a competitive spirit and a positive attitude, two things that I believe to be most important in playing the game that I love. I pride myself in being able to keep a positive attitude when I make a mistake, pick up my teammates when they are down, and to all around be the best person that I can be on and off the field. I also have the ability to remain calm and focused during high pressure situations. I am very thankful for the blessing that God has given me: my friends, family, and the ability to play the game that I love, and I hopefully can continue with that in my upcoming years. |
