Let’s do some simple math! Approx 367,405 girls play High School Softball. 1650 approx College Softball Programs. Avg roster 20. Equals apprx 8,000 girls play in each graduation year. So the “organic” model is go to every camp that sends you an email. Ranging from $50 to $800 per school. How do you know what layer of the sport they “Can” play in College?
YOU don’t get to choose the College Coaches choose you. You all are emailing and going to the same camps. 100-200 attend each camp and the College Coach picks 6-8 in each class? The odds are against you going it alone. It is the MOST expensive way to recruit. By the time you figure out which layer your Student Athlete “CAN” play in, that program has already spent their scholarship picks. Then the “excuses” come out… my High School Coach didn’t like me. My travel ball coach plays Daddy ball. I had a boo boo when they recruited my class. No one told me I needed to take my ACT/SAT earlier. The list is endless. Parents, the earlier you get in the process with an Advocate that has proven results and develop an INDIVIDUAL plan for your daughters the better your odds are of them “getting” to be a Student Athlete in College. www.CollegiateSportsAdvocate.com
