My name is Chaney Tart. I will be in the graduating class of 2018. I have a passion for softball. I have played for Coach Felix Esparza 99 Texas Elite Gold, and have now moved to Elite 16U Gold Bancroft. I Pitch, play Outfield, and some Middle Infield. I throw right handed and bat left handed. Coach Esparza allowed me to bat and read defenses from the #2 spot in his line up and, hit as the defense allows. I am one of three pitchers on his team and get lots of circle time. I have played travel ball out of the DFW area for 5 years. I have played all over the state of Texas along with Oklahoma, going to San Diego California for 14U A Nationals, and recently in Nashville at the Nashville Elite Invitational. This was a great experience starting with the day before camp. It was an awesome day getting to interact with college coaches. It was a long but very successful week with Elite getting a 2nd place finish.
I know that I have been blessed with a good group of team coaches that have given a lot of their time to allow me to be in the position I am today, from my hitting coach, pitching coach, and most of all my family. I have a close knit family that has supported me and been there for me throughout my life. I am the younger of two sisters and she has been a big impact in my life. As education has always been the highest priority to me, she has set examples of what needs to be done to be successful in life. I moved to a new school last year, and graduated from 8th grade at Malakoff ISD. I looked at this as an opportunity not an obstacle to excel in the classroom. I finished the year top in my class, graduating as class Valedictorian. I am not sure what I want to study in college but I am looking to follow in my sister’s footsteps in the field of Physical or Occupational Therapy. I want to do something and have a career that helps people. I get a lot of satisfaction in helping others especially youth. I am currently working at a hitting facility for up and coming softball players in the area and cannot tell you how good it makes me feel to teach. There is a small statement that I heard at a practice one time that stuck with me. The coach stated to “always push your self and allow others to do the same”. I work hard to make myself a better player and team mate. I am working to improve my strength and speed. I worked through last summer with a great young lady that is a sprinter in college. She worked with me to improve my explosiveness out of the batter’s box to first. I have set a goal of 2.6 by the end of next year and have achieved that goal. I want to thank you and let you know that I really appreciate you taking a little bit of your valuable time to read about me and some of the things I have done and the direction I am going. I look forward to hearing from you in the future. Chaney Tart #6 Texas Elite Gold 16U Bancroft |
