Chad & Kelly Smith Testimonial
City came to CSA in the summer of 2017 after meeting one of our Advocates (Erin Sykes) at the Scenic City Showcase in Chatanooga TN.
Having stumbled along in her recruitment she was beginning to feel pressure and frustration as more of the class of 2018 were solidifying their college choices throughout the country.
She had done everything she knew to do...emails, camps, clinics, Softball Factory, you name it...she tried it with little success.
After meeting Erin and watching her network with the college coaches in attendance, Felicite and her family decided to place their trust in CSA's hands several weeks later.
Erin and City immediately went to work and began forming their relationship and exploring opportunities that Erin had uncovered by networking with coaches at the events she had been attending all summer.
Not long after Felicite became a CSA student-athlete, she received an email from CSA headquarters that had been forwarded from Northwestern Oklahoma State University asking that CSA inform any and all of our 2018s of their upcoming prospect camp. Felicite stepped out and immediately jumped at the opportunity.
A 15 hour car ride later, and a phone call or two from unimpressed Kelly (mom) to Erin describing dustballs and a one caution light town...the 3 day camp began. By day 2 Kelly's calls to Erin had a change in tone and there was excitement and the atmosphere had grown on her...Felicite (who had loved it from the beginning) was impressed with the coaching staff, facilities, campus and seemed to think she was having a good camp.
Day 3 was HUGE news...an on the spot offer was made and Felicite immediately called Erin who was equally excited but reminded City that there were some more opportunities that should be explored before making a hasty decision.
2 months went by when City had made up her mind that her perfect fit school was Northwestern Oklahoma State and she was going to be a Ranger. She called Erin to thank her for opening the door to a program and school she had never even known beforehand and she decided to commit that day!
